Big States pal Joey Mayes is the only punk in Utah, and as such his house functions as a venue for touring bands that in other locales typically sell out shows to 300+ capacity crowds. Anyway, with Memphis' Gonerfest getting under way this weekend, a lot of bands are on the road, playing their various ways to the Bluff City. Quite a few of these bands are stopping at Joey's place, known as The Compound, and some kid bootlegged the recent Fresh & Onlys/Thee Oh Sees show.
